Who is ISOmDB PRO intended for?

The ISOmDB PRO solution evolved from years of experience managing complex, configurable, enterprise I.T. systems.  The primary target user is the system admin responsible for managing change control and release deployments in mission critical database driven systems.  ISOmDB PRO snapshots can also be used by developers tracking changes in DEV over time, or by a system administrator tracking that changes are aligned in TEST and PROD before and after a release deployment.  

The ISOmDB PRO solutions are simple enough to be used by a super user who may not have extensive I.T. experience, but who is nevertheless a system owner responsible for change management of mission critical systems used in the enterprise.

Does ISOmDB PRO require installation and validation testing in the target application?

No, the ISOmDB PRO client is a standalone executable that runs alongside your application client using the existing database connection, or a dedicated read only connection to the database server.  The ISOmDB PRO client is designed to be lightweight and does not require changes to the target application database that might require change control and validation testing.  Independent validation of ISOmDB itself can be achieved quickly as needed.

Can the ISOmDB PRO solution be tailored to my particular configuration?

Yes, there are config.ini file settings that can be configured by a system administrator.  For a small fee, the development team will also work with any client organization to review and customize any of the thousands of queries used by ISOmDB LIMS PRO to make sure all key Master Data attributes and source code are reported as needed.

How is ISOmDB LIMS PRO different from the ISOmDB PRO Database Snapshot Utility?

The ISOmDB PRO Database Snapshot Utility creates a set of vendor independent snapshot files which describe the core details of Tables and Columns. This allows for quick comparisons of data structures that may be configured in different database types.  For example, the ability to quickly compare tables and columns (including character length information) across Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in our vendor independent snapshot files can save system admins hours of querying and collating information.

The ISOmDB LIMS PRO Snapshot Utility includes all of the functionality of the Database Snapshot Utility but adds hundreds of queries to capture Master Data records and Source Code details in a format that can also be compared across database types.

ISOmDB PRO plans are available starting at $12 per month and $100 per year.

How much does ISOmDB LIMS PRO Database Snapshot Utility cost?

ISOmDB LIMS PRO subscription plans are available starting at $120 per month and $1000 per year.

The cost of customization begins at $2000 and increases as required at $2000 per day.  Most master data driven customization projects can be completed in under five days.  The cost savings related to time saved in change management and code review means that the base system typically pays for itself in just a few days.

What platforms can ISOmDB PRO be used with?

ISOmDB PRO can be used with any client server application database using Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL.

ISOmDB LIMS PRO can be used with LabWare LIMS using Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MS Access databases.  Master Data support for many other LIMS, HIMS and ERP platforms are in the pipeline.  During the current, limited rollout we are releasing additional licenses for customers looking for a solution compatible with LabWare LIMS.

Will both ISOmDB PRO utilities scale to my system?

ISOmDB PRO and ISOmDB LIMS PRO have been built for use with large enterprise databases.   ISOmDB LIMS PRO has evolved to capture hundreds of queries of Master Data tables, and thousands of source code routines containing hundreds of thousands of lines of code.  At the same time our execution times have dropped from tens of minutes to tens of seconds.  In our experience, even the largest systems can be captured in detailed snapshots in just a few minutes.
